Public Works Department
The Department of Public Works manages a wide range of maintenance and improvement projects throughout the borough, including: maintaining and repairing the electrical wires, maintaining all roadways in the Borough (except PennDOT roads); street sweeping, re-paving roads; pothole patching; salting roads and plowing borough parking lots, and curbside leaf collection and brush collection. In addition, this Department provides potable water that exceeds the state and federal guidelines for quality to the residents of Zelienople, operation of a water chemistry lab, repair and maintenance of water mains and fire hydrants, reading water and electric meters, a water meter replacement program and repair and maintenance of the Water Treatment Facilities.
