Water Distribution System Maintenance
From June 26th to the end of July, Zelienople residents may experience changes to their drinking water. Beaver Falls Municipal Authority will be changing disinfectants during routine maintenance flushing of their distribution system. During the flushing period, chlorine will be used as the primary disinfectant instead of the chloramines that are currently being used. During this period you may experience discolored water and/or a noticeable odor of chlorine in the water. Should you experience discolored water during this time, please let your cold tap run for several minutes until the water clears up. Any chlorine odor will not go away until we return to chloramines disinfection following the system flushing.
